When configuring a capture type, there is a variety of questions that can be asked. Once the sections have been set up, admins can configure what questions to ask during the capture.
Individual questions can be configured to be mandatory alongside when a specific answer will raise an issue.
The measurement question type can be used to ask the user for a specific measurement. This can be done either in square feet or square meters. When the user enters the measurement, it will be automatically converted into the other metric, allowing for ease of use when working with different metrics.
The number question allows the user to enter any number into the answer box. This can be configured to restrict answers to be within a specific range.
The text questions will allow users to enter a string of text into the answer box. The use of text or text area will depend on the amount of text you would like to allow. For example, the text area could be used as a comment box.
The date and time questions will allow the user to use the calendar to select a date or the time selector to select a specific time. These can be configured to restrict the answers to a specific range.
Follow-up questions can be used in conjunction with other questions. This allows a new question to appear if certain criteria is met. For example, there could be a yes or no question, where if the user selected no, a new question would appear underneath.
These question types will allow the user to select one option from a list of possible answers. The button group is different to the selection type by having a different layout and configurable colours per answer.
The select question type allows the user to select one or multiple answers from a dropdown list. This will need to be configured with a toggle to only allow one option or multiple answers.
This question type allows users to upload a file as the answer. These files are then made available in the report created once the capture is closed.
This question will let the user select one option from a list of answers populated from a dataset. This can allow for a versatile question as the answers are automatically updated whenever the dataset is refreshed.
